Every day across SDoL, school nurses help make learning possible. National School Nurses Day is a chance to recognize the professionals who care for our students not only during moments of illness or injury, but throughout their entire educational journey.
The School District of Lancaster provides health services to address health-related barriers to learning and support a healthy student population. In every school building, certified school nurses and health room nurses serve on the front lines of student care. They respond to illnesses and injuries during the school day, coordinate mandated health programs, support students with ongoing medical needs, and serve as trusted resources for teachers, staff, and families navigating health-related concerns.
Their work strengthens the connection between health and academic success and reflects our district’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of every student.
We’re grateful for the compassion and professionalism our nurses bring to their work. Thank you for showing up for our students and for our community. Give them kudos on social media.
