The School District of Lancaster named the members of the school board’s naming recommendation committee.
Citing its deep support of equity and social justice, the board established the committee in July to make recommendations on renaming school buildings in the district. The committee’s first meeting will be Monday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. in the McCaskey East Café. The meeting is open to the public.

The committee is charged with developing guiding principles for the committee’s work, researching and evaluating the proposed recommended names of selected buildings, engaging community and other key stakeholder groups and reviewing naming recommendations.
