SDoL Offers In Person & Remote FAFSA Assistance

School District of Lancaster is committed to increasing the percentage of seniors who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To support this effort, the staff from the Future Ready Center are pleased to offer in-person and virtual FAFSA completion appointments this fall at the first of our FAFSA completion events. The FAFSA window opens on October 1, and families can make an appointment to work with the Future Ready Center on October 1 or 2 by clicking here. All in-person meetings will comply with CDC and PA Dept. of Health guidelines. Virtual meetings will take place via Zoom.

The FAFSA is the first critical step toward accessing a postsecondary education. Completing the application gives students access to thousands of dollars of aid. 85% of students qualify for federal and/or state aid that helps with the cost of postsecondary education; failing to file the FAFSA takes potentially thousands of dollars off the table. If you have specific questions about the FAFSA process, please reach out to Mr. Jago – (JP McCaskey) or Ms. Zavala – (McCaskey East) or Ms. Halsey (Phoenix, DASH, Cyber, Buehrle) –
