Request for Excused Absence from School For a Pre-Planned Trip
The following conditions must be met for non-school sponsored trips: ten days or less. Please note parents are allowed ten (10) parent excuses in one (1) school year:
A pre-plan trip form must be completed by the parent/guardian one week prior to the trip.
For emergency trips, the parent/guardian will have three days from the day the student(s) return to school to submit a parent excuse, which cannot exceed ten days.
The building principal may limit the number and duration of trips for which excused absences may be granted to a student during the school term based on the student’s attendance.
Approved educational trips will be coded as a parent excuse and will not exceed ten (10) days.
Unapproved educational trips will be coded as unlawful/unexcused.
