Staying Connected
This week, elementary schools across the School District of Lancaster opened their doors for Back to School Night, welcoming families, students, and community members to kick off the year together.
On Tuesday evening, classrooms and hallways were filled with energy as students proudly introduced their families to teachers and staff. Parents and caregivers had the chance to learn about school programs, explore resources, and connect with the people who will guide their children’s learning this year.
Many schools hosted community partners, shared information about after-school programs, and offered activities for children to enjoy. Back to school night is an opportunity for families to feel part of the school community, ask questions, and share their hopes for the year ahead.
The first day of school for elementary school students is Tuesday, Aug. 19
