Stay Connected with Hamilton
The School District of Lancaster will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on Thursday, Jan. 29 and Friday, Jan. 30 due to cold morning temperatures.
Schools will open exactly two hours later than their usual opening time. Breakfast will not be served.
Please do not drop students off earlier than this delayed schedule.
Buses will begin their routes exactly two hours later than on a regular day; however, routes may run longer as buses navigate the snow-restricted streets. Please be patient.
We ask all district residents to assist by ensuring that sidewalks are cleared, crosswalks are open, and excess snow is removed whenever possible. Students who walk to school need this access to remain safe.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this stretch of winter weather.

Welcome to James Hamilton Elementary School! The staff at Hamilton is dedicated to provide a positive and enriching environment for all students. We are proud of the opportunities at Hamilton, including our PBIS incentives, our spring musical, and school garden. We look forward to working collaboratively with parents and community members to ensure our students experience success across all aspects of the day.
