🌱🥕 Bucket Garden Update – Week 5!
Yesterday, Mrs. Kitsock’s class explored the question: “Where does my food come from?” 🍽️
Students learned about the Farm to Fork journey — the adventure food takes before it reaches our plates. From planting seeds 🌱, watering crops 💧, and caring for animals 🐄🐓, farmers work hard to make sure we have the fruits, vegetables, and other foods we enjoy every day.
To celebrate, students used lettuce and a cucumber from our garden and prepared a delicious salad with homemade herb dressing. 🥗✨
Here’s the recipe if you’d like to try it at home:
Homemade Herb Dressing
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp salt
Fresh herbs from your garden (or dried herbs)
