🌟🎓 4th Grade Explorers at Franklin & Marshall College! 🎓🌟

Our 4th graders had an unforgettable field trip to Franklin & Marshall College, where learning took place in a whole new context (literally!)

Students rotated through engaging learning experiences including:

🐢 The Vivarium, where they learned about animal care, habitats, and animal welfare

🌍 Virtual Reality Topography, exploring landforms and Earth’s surface in an immersive way

💧 Stream Table Investigations, modeling erosion, water flow, and environmental change

🏟️ Athletic Complex Tour, connecting health, teamwork, and physical activity

🎓 College Student Q&A session, hearing directly from college students about the ins and outs of getting into college and what life is like as a college student (Thank you The Ware Institute for Civic Engagement!)

This rigorous community-connected classroom instruction experience directly supported Pennsylvania Academic Standards by strengthening:
✅ Science & Technology skills through observation, investigation, and modeling Earth and life systems
✅ Environmental Literacy by exploring how water, land, and living things interact
✅ Critical Thinking & Inquiry through hands‑on problem solving and questioning
✅ Career Awareness & College Readiness, helping students envision their future as learners
