STAY CONNECTED WITH BURROWES ELEMENTARY
Decisions made in Harrisburg reach into classrooms across the School District of Lancaster. Understanding how those decisions take shape gives people working in our schools another way to support students and bring their experiences into conversations about education policy.
Dr. Alex Rohrer, Community School Director at Burrowes Elementary School, recently visited the Pennsylvania Capitol as a guest of State Representative Smith-Wade-El. Rohrer works for the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster, serving the Burrowes school community through the organization’s partnership with the district.
During the visit, Rohrer observed a legislative session and joined Representative Smith-Wade-El for several committee meetings and a conversation with State Librarian Heather Sharpe. The experience offered a closer look at the legislative process and the work that informs decisions affecting public schools.
We're proud and appreciate Dr. Rohrer's continued commitment to Burrowes and the work of Community Schools!
