Future Ready Lancaster Curriculum
Every first Friday of the month is Future Ready Friday at SDOL. All staff wear college shirts, and engage students directly in college and career exploration through lessons and activities. Students at all grades complete a minimum of eight (8) Future Ready Lancaster lessons per year, each designed to meet Pennsylvania Career Education and Work Standards. High school students complete at least 12 lessons annually, and create a personal college and career portfolio.

Building on the District’s implementation of 1:1 technology for students, every child in grades 2-12 now has a comprehensive college and career exploration tool at their fingertips. Xello is an interactive platform that allows students to explore colleges and careers, and develop an individualized portfolio. Students can access Xello any time by logging in through Classlink.
