More Than McCaskey
All School District of Lancaster students have dreams for their future. Getting a McCaskey diploma is a huge step in making that dream a reality. However, in today’s economy, a high school diploma isn’t enough. No matter what your plans are for your future, every student needs a McCaskey diploma PLUS one more piece of paper, one more credential, one more diploma.
It doesn’t have to be 4 more years of school, but it has to be something. This can mean:
- Earning industry recognized credentials
- Enlisting in the military
- Enrolling and completing a short or long term training program
- Enrolling and completing 2 or 4 year college
This doesn’t change the fact that a college degree remains a strong investment with lifetime earnings that far exceed the cost of college completion. On average, the more education you complete still leads to higher income. But even if you aren’t ready for college, you have to get something beyond that McCaskey diploma.
